We are Webnet

Meet the team and find out more below.

About Webnet

Webnet, or the West of England Baptist Network, is a regional association of the Baptist Union of Great Britain. We work with around 115 churches across the West of England, supporting their leaders, teams and members and encouraging them in their mission and discipleship. We seek to encourage and equip churches across our network, enabling people to encounter Jesus Christ and grow in relationship with Him.

Our regional ministry team is made up of three Regional Ministers: Andy Caldwell, Regional Team Leader, alongside Alisdair Longwill and Lindsay Caplen. The regional ministers support churches and ministers in our network through all seasons of ministry.

The Webnet Hub

Our wider Hub team provides practical, administrative and operational support to enable the work of Webnet and to serve churches across our network. This includes administration, finance, communications and events, as well as property and trust support through our associated trust, Webtc.

The team is based at the Webnet Hub, where we host a range of gatherings and opportunities for church leaders and teams, including Iron Sharpens Iron, re-imagine and 1:1 meetings. As a region, we provide safeguarding support and training for churches across our network.

We also have a number of thriving Hong Kong communities within our churches. Candy Choy, our Hong Kong Minister, supports and works alongside these communities and the churches they are part of.
