Response of Christian Community to COVID-19 (especially mental health issues)

Andy Street from Christian Action Bristol, the Politics and Social Action sphere of Together4Bristol.

We would encourage you to note, and to share with others some details if you possibly can please, as follows:

a) A discussion around young people and wellbeing – Thursday 2nd July from 7-8pm on Zoom. Sign up for zoom link here – www.thenoise.org.uk/youthwellbeing . If you can’t be on the call do pass this to any of your other leaders, and youth leaders in particular please, it will be excellent.

b) Patrick and Les Isaac (founder of Street Pastors) are hosting an important conversation on July 15th – ’The Big Conversation – Race, Justice and Mental Health’ – https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/the-big-conversation-race-justice-and-mental-health-tickets-109607868084 . Again this should be an excellent time.

c) Kintsugi Hope website – full details about wellbeing groups  – www.kintsugihope.com – or contact Patrick/Jess on email (addresses above)

d) Can we also remind you of the urgent need to continue to support the Churches City Fund as we continue to support the work of Foodbanks across the city. The need is huge, and will continue to grow over the rest of this year and into next. So please continue to share the following link, and to encourage people to donate, it’s incredibly important: https://www.churchescityfund.org/

e) Do also reach out to Kate Dommett, Regional Leader for TLG in the South West, if you would like to know more about supporting some of the most disadvantaged children in the city: Kate.Dommett@tlg.org.uk
