In 2015 HOPE, the Church of England, and the Evangelical Alliance commissioned research to ask a number of questions including: What do people know and believe about Jesus? What do they really think of us, his followers? Are we talking about Jesus enough? And when we are, are we drawing people closer towards him, or pushing them further away?
One of the key facts they discovered was that conversations with Christians are one of the most important influences in bringing people to faith, and that Christians are not always confident in putting their faith into words.
Our theme for the coming year in webnet is all about helping people to continue or begin to have these life-changing conversations, in whatever circumstance God has placed them.
For a great example of how talking led to change, read Naomi and Evie’s story here.
We will have a number of Network Gatherings (see dates below) on Sunday evenings around webnet, in which we hope to encourage one another with testimonies and teaching to help us share our faith with friends, family, colleagues and others whom God has placed in our lives.
We encourage you to have a look at the Talking Jesus website where you’ll find really interesting research, testimonies to inspire, and the Talking Jesus course, alongside lots of resources to help you deliver it in your church or small group.

We think the Talking Jesus course is a fantastic resource to kickstart the lifelong practise of sharing our faith naturally and with confidence, to help us make the most of every opportunity to help others come to know Jesus for themselves.
The pack includes a DVD or USB with six training videos, plus parable-style films and an accompanying 44 page course booklet.
This is also the occasion of our new Regional Minister Lindsay Caplen’s Induction. Our special guest speaker is Peter Morden. Please come along at 5.30 for tea and cake. Everyone is welcome.

As part of our Are We Talking Jesus? theme we would like to encourage one another with stories of how talking about your faith led to a celebration among the heavenly host. If you have a story to share, or you know someone who came to know Jesus in a webnet church in recent years, we’d love to hear from you or from the individual concerned, with the hope of sharing the story in our network either in written form, as a video, or even ‘live’ at one of our Network Gatherings. We’d also love to hear how talking about your faith more during the course of the year is going for you. Please get in touch! Email Alex.
